Brief Introduction
The LS300-A portable velocity flowmeter is specially developed for open channel velocity and flow measurement in the field by hydrological stations, factories and mines, monitoring stations, farmland irrigation and drainage, hydrogeological surveys and other departments. Thedevice has a simple structure, is light and convenient, consumes less power, has complete functions, is highly automatic, stable and reliable, and meets the national standard for open channel flow measurement. It is equipped with an 80-degree high-temperature propeller.
The LS300-A intelligent flow velocity meter is equipped with a new OA-type optical fiber velocity propeller sensor. The propeller helix angle, pitch, manufacturing process and materials have been redesigned. The propeller diameters are 15mm and 12mm respectively (the propeller reflective surface adopts advanced electroplating technology, which is wear-resistant and has a strong signal). The starting velocity is low, and the starting velocity, velocity range, linearity, concentricity, calibration coefficient and mean square error are greatly improved and improved compared with previous sensors.

High-definition display screen
LCD screen avoids reading troubles and improve reading clarity. The V mean flow velocity measurement (m/s). K is screw pitch. C is the constant of the current meter. Then, T means measurement time (unit: s). Lastly, N is the number of signals during T.

The left one is power connector and the right one is the data interface. Just plug into any standard power outlet or portable power bank to recharge the internal battery, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

Measurement & Calculation Method
This instrument is designed based on the velocity-area method principle of open channel flow measurement. The flow rate can be measured to obtain the flow rate Q=V.S (S is the cross-sectional area)
1. Flow rate measurement:
When measuring the flow rate, the propeller rotor flowmeter is driven by hydraulic power to rotate, and the built-in signal device generates a rotation signal. The flow rate is calculated by the following formula:
V=KN / T + C (m/s) (automatic calculation)
Within the formula:
V: average flow rate during the flow measurement period (m/s)
K: hydraulic pitch of the blade
C: flowmeter constant
T: flow measurement duration (unit: s)
N: number of signals during the T period
When this device is used, K and C are both constants. When measuring flow, as long as T and N are measured, the flow rate can be calculated
2. Flow rate calculation:
Flow rate measurement is based on the velocity-area method of open channel flow measurement. First measure the flow rate and then multiply it by the cross-sectional area to obtain the flow rate.
