Work Principle
The ultraviolet phototherapy device uses narrow-band medium-wave ultraviolet (NB-UVB) technology with a wavelength of 311nm. Clinical trials have shown that narrow-band medium-wave ultraviolet with a wavelength of about 311nm has significant therapeutic effects on skin diseases such as vitiligo and psoriasis, and is a pure physical treatment. The ultraviolet phototherapy device can emit medium-wave ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 311nm, which can be mostly absorbed by the epidermal tissue, and thus has significant biological effects on tissues such as the skin, with few adverse reactions, and the treatment is simple and safe.
Our phototherapy device uses Philips UVB light source, which can efficiently penetrate the epidermis but will not damage the inner layer of the skin like UVA.

Convenient time control
The timing function allows customers to enjoy the treatment process without worrying about the duration of treatment.
Narrowband 311nm UVB
NB-UVB has a higher efficacy than broad-spectrum UVB, requires fewer treatments to achieve the therapeutic effect, and significantly reduces the cumulative dose of phototherapy. At the same time, NB-UVB has a higher safety.
Operation-friendly interface
The UVB device offers a hassle-free experience with its straightforward plug-in functionality. Users can easily connect the device, and the intuitive control panel allows for swift management and customization of settings.
Lightweight UV goggles
Ultraviolet rays have certain adverse effects on human healthy skin. Therefore, before using this UVB phototherapy device to treat skin diseases, please remember to wear the special UV goggles provided with this product.

Advantage of NB-UVB
Clinically proven, NBUVB has higher efficacy than broad-band UVB, requires fewer treatments to achieve therapeutic effects, and significantly reduces the cumulative dose of phototherapy. At the same time, NBUVB has higher safety. In Europe, NBUVB has almost completely replaced traditional phototherapy.
Use Notice
- Before undergoing ultraviolet phototherapy, please inform your doctor in charge of phototherapy of the medications and cosmetics you are taking or applying externally to avoid excessive light reaction due to the above reasons.
- For patients with psoriasis, bathing is recommended before ultraviolet phototherapy to minimize scaling of the epidermis.
- During ultraviolet phototherapy, avoid direct exposure of the light source to the eyes. Since ultraviolet rays are invisible to the naked eye, patients must wear ultraviolet phototherapy goggles.
- Due to the darkening effect of phototherapy, please try to protect your normal skin during ultraviolet phototherapy. After ultraviolet phototherapy, please avoid exposing the treated area to sunlight or other artificial light sources.
- 8 to 48 hours after the end of ultraviolet phototherapy, slight erythema and itching may appear on the irradiated area. This is a reaction to the treatment, so please don’t worry.
- After ultraviolet phototherapy, if obvious erythema, burning pain and small blisters appear in the irradiated area, you may consult an expert physician to adjust the phototherapy course and irradiation dosage.
Recommended Treament Course
Recommended frequency of treatment: 3 times a week.
If the interval between treatments is kept within 3 days with no erythema, increase the dose as per the table below.
Treatment Session Dose Increase
- 1-20 times 10% Med
- 21-X times Depends on skin response to treatment
The maximum dose is kept less than 6 Med, if this level is reached, keep the dose unchanged.
If slight redness is seen after the previous treatment, keep the original dose unchanged.
If significant erythema is seen after the previous treatment, then check them and adjust the dose accordingly.
Treatment can be stopped as soon as the lesions subside.
For narrowband UVB treatment of psoriasis, the recommended course of treatment is 30-35 sessions.
Longer treatments may be required to maintain the effect, especially in winter or northern regions.
Note: the above recommendation is just for a reference, please consult your expert doctor for more concrete treatment details.
